Utilizing a prism at the camera input, the incoming light is separated into red, green, and blue wavelengths which are each directed to separate red, green, and blue image sensors. These sensors deliver true red, green, and blue color outputs for more accurate per-pixel color values, steeper spectral curves, and sharper resolution. JAI APEX Series 3-Sensor Cameras are available in 1.6 or 3.2 megapixel resolutions with USB or Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) outputs, and also available in a white housing with USB output that offers strict production screening and preventative measures to minimize dust, lint, or debris on the prism, sensor, or in the optical path for clinical environments and life science applications.
