We highly recommend the ESD model or the Resin-Tip model with the interchangeable replacement ESD tips for optics. Tips are interchangeable for all ESD and Resin-Tip models. Ceramic tips offer excellent wear resistance. All tips are non-magnetic. ESD: Tips are fine ceramic (containing carbon), body is stainless steel. Tips have max operating temperature of 160°C and are conductive with a surface resistance of 10 8 – 10 11 Ω. Tips are black. Two choices for tip size. Resin-Tip: Tips are PBT plastic (containing glass), body is aluminum. Lightweight body provides comfort for extended use. Tips have max operating temperature of 190°C. Tips are white and are non-conductive. Ceramic: Tips are fine ceramic, body is polyacetal (with glass fiber reinforcement). Tips are non-magnetic, non-conductive, and heat/chemical resistant.
